Turned on my new Intel Core i7 rig today and was greeting by the following blue screen of death!
STOP 0x0000003D Error Messages
The STOP 0x0000003D error will always appear on a STOP message, more commonly called a Blue Screen of Death (BSOD). One of the errors below or a combination of both errors may display on the STOP message:
* "STOP: 0x0000003D"
* "INTERRUPT_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED"
Have no idea what caused it but had to go into Windows 7 recovery mode and do a system restore to fix it.
Also, ran memtest to see if it could be a memory problem but passed memtest just fine.
Hopefully, this was just Windows being flaky although my older quadcore9550 has been running Windows 7 without a bluescreen for over a year at least!
