Well I just happened to run Irfanview again for some reason on my Win7 x64 installs and they no longer bluescreen.
It seems Microsoft sent out a patch via Windows update to fix this a while back.

Oh well one good thing about this whole thing is that I found a good alternative program to Irfanview called FastPictureViewer.
It's way faster and makes use of your GPU if possible.
I like it and that's what I've been using and that's why I haven't noticed Microsoft fixed this bug until now!
