This got this error today trying to open Outlook on my Windows 7 PC.
This is how I fixed it.
It was the 2nd result google returned. The first one was a dead end and talked about removing xp compatibility which wasn't the problem.
Now how one of my files got corrupted is more worrying than anything :(
This problem can occur when file that maintains the Navigation Pane settings becomes corrupted.
